Don’t confuse with

讲究 vs 讲求 — both mean “to stress,” but 讲究 covers taste and refinement, while 讲求 is method-and-results only.
讲究 vs 将就 — near-homophones, opposite meanings: 讲究 = insist on quality; 将就 jiāngjiu = settle for less.
