If you used Hanlexon before our V2 redesign, the tools you love are still here — they just have new names and live in a clearer sidebar. Here's the quick map.
Watch: where every classic tool moved to — the sidebar, Vocab Builder, the Print menu, Share → Assign, and the new Reading library — named one click at a time. ·
Use the sidebar on every page to jump between tools. Here's what each was called before:
| What you used to call it | Where it is now | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Worksheet creator (/worksheet.htm in V1) |
Vocab Builder (识字) | Create printable writing grids, character cards, flash cards, and reading sheets — the same workflow as before, plus stroke-order playback and on-screen practice. |
| HSK vocabulary browser | Browse Words | Browse every word in HSK 1–9, filter by level, click to study. It is now a button inside Vocab Builder rather than its own sidebar row. |
| (new in V2) | Reading (阅读) | Graded reading library with pinyin, translation, and comprehension quizzes. |
| (new in V2) | Conversation (听说) | Voice practice with Prof Hanlexon, an AI tutor that listens and corrects pronunciation. |
| (new in V2) | Writing (写作) | Write sentences or essays and get AI feedback on grammar, vocabulary, and style. This is not the printable-worksheet tool — for that, use Vocab Builder. |
| (new in V2) | Grammar (语法) | Grammar patterns with examples you can practise. It used to sit inside Writing; it is now its own skill. |
| (new in V2) | Translation (翻译) | Practice translation with AI feedback. |
| HSK practice tests | HSK Tests | Same official-format mock tests, organized by level. |
Click Vocab Builder (识字) in the sidebar, then Open → New. Type or paste your characters into the text box, then open the Print menu and choose what to build:
Set the options on the right — pinyin on or off, character size, A4 or US Letter — then click Print/Save PDF. To give it to a class, use Share → Assign.
Your home page (click Dashboard at the top of the sidebar) now shows a personalized daily plan: what to review, what to learn next, and a quick-access reading. Spend 15–30 minutes a day here and you'll move steadily through your HSK level.
See Using Your Daily Plan for the full walkthrough.
The classic pages have been retired. An old link such as /worksheet.htm now opens the new Vocab Builder automatically, so a bookmark you kept still works — it simply lands on a page that looks different. Vocab Builder does everything Classic did, plus stroke-order playback and on-screen practice.
Use the feedback button at the bottom-right of any page to send us a note. We read every message.
