Getting Started with Hanlexon
Your first 10 minutes on Hanlexon: from sign-up to your first study session.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Go to hanlexon.com/register.htm and sign up with your email (or Google account). Choose your role:
- Student — learning Chinese for yourself
- Teacher — teaching Chinese to a class
- Parent — monitoring your child's learning
The free tier gives you full access to the HSK 1–9 curriculum, spaced repetition review, and daily study plans.
Step 2: Take the Diagnostic Test
After signing up, you'll be prompted to take a short diagnostic test (about 2 minutes). This identifies your current HSK level so Hanlexon can build the right study plan for you.
Already know your level? You can skip the diagnostic and set your level manually in Settings.
Step 3: Follow Your Daily Plan
Your homepage shows a personalized daily plan. A typical day might include:
- Review — Practice characters due for review (spaced repetition)
- Learn — Study 5 new characters at your level
- Read — Read a short article matched to your level
- Quiz — Take a quick quiz on today's learning
Each activity takes 2–10 minutes. A full daily session is about 15–30 minutes.
